James H. Sackett ran a Drug business at 80 Cedar, in New York City starting in 1863. He was variously listed at the same address with occupations of "Drugs," "Perfumer," and "Merchant," from 1863 to 71. The brand name "Magic Coloris" had been registered by John Ralya in 1877, and was probably bought out by Sackett sometime thereafter (see Magic Coloris). In 1872, his business moved to 122 Liberty, where he remained until past the turn of the century. His business was "Perfumery" during the 79s and 80s, then during the 90s, he added "Barber Supplies." Sackett's "Coloris," "Hair Dye" and "Hair Renewer" were all listed for sale in 1872 and 1875 John F. Henry catalogs.
