Ed Pinaud was a very succesful Perfumer in Paris. He started at least as early as 1846 in Paris. I'm not sure when he opened his New York offices, but most of the products we see were probably bottled there. One of the bottles said that the ingredients were imported from Paris. At some point Pinaud became partners with Emile Meyer and the company was known as Pinaud & Meyer. Later it became Emile Meyer & Co. (1887) and still later it went back to being called Pinaud Incorporated (1937).
