This was one of the products of Ed Pinaud of Paris. Emile Meyer, who took over the Pinaud line claimed rights to it, and registered that brand as a Trademark in 1887 (TM #14,210). He said that it had been used by himself or his predecessors (Pinaud) since 1846. The Trademark was renewed by Meyer in 1917, and then Pinaud Inc. renewed it in 1937.
