John C. McKisson, a member of the White Rock Oil Co., of Toledo, Ohio, registered the words: "Natural White Oil," and "Natures Hair Restorative," with a picture as Trade Marks in 1892 (#20,934). They said that the title had been used by them or those from whom they acquired it since 1891. It is likely that the brand was acqired from Gibson Smith (See Nature's Hair Restorative).
C. J. Westerman was first listed in 1892 as the Manager of Wolfe Chemical Co., in Toledo, OH. The following year he was the Manager of the White Rock Oil Co., at 513 Adams Street. From 1895 until at least 1901, he was just listed as a Barber. I do not know if he continued to sell the Hair Oil after 1893, but the Oil Company was not listed.
