| John L. Ralya, of Cleveland, Ohio, doing business in Indianapolis, Indiana, registered the brand name "Magic Coloris" as a trademark in 1877 (#5,369). Ralya included a label with his trademark Petition. Chances are, James H. Sackett bought the brand name from Ralya not long after he registered the trademark (see Sackett's Magic Coloris).
