Taylor, Henry W.
Mary Kaler was a Hair Dresser in New York City from around 1874 until at least 1885. By 1876, she became partners with Henry W. Taylor in "H. W. Taylor & Co." In 1881, they reissued their trade mark under their new business name: "H. W. Taylor & Co.'s Corollas." The picture on the label was Mary Kaler herself. In 1879, she was awarded a medal as Mary Taylor. Taylor was listed in 1881 as "Tonic," with a business address of 31 E. 20th (same as Kaler's), in New York.

Mary Kaler herself was no longer listed after 1885. That was probably the year she got married to Napolean Thompson. The brand name was re-registered as a Trade Mark in 1912 by H. W. Taylor & Co., but the members of the firm at that time were just Napolean & Mary Thompson. Strangely, the picture on the box indicated that she was also Mrs. Taylor at one time. The Trade Mark was somewhat different in 1912, showing Mrs Kaler standing with hair almost to the floor, and next to her is something with the word "CoroIlas" on it. By 1912, their business was at 34 E. 22nd Street, in New York City. According to Fike, H. W. Taylor & Co., were listed as "Dermatologists," at 44 W. 56th in 1913.
