Andrew Hawley was a Perfumer in Philadelphia from around 1853 until at least 1870. His business was on North 4th until around 1869, when "A. Hawley & Co." moved to South Tenth. Hair preparations he sold included all the standard article such as Bear's Oil, Macassar Oil, Eau Lustral, Etc. He also advertised a preparation in 1853 called Hawley's Tonic Lotion For The Hair, and in 1857-60, he was selling Hawley's Unrivalled Instantaneous Hair Dye and Dressing. View ad from 1857 Directory
Jack Fortmeyer has in his collection a label only bottle for "Amber Hair Oil," which was sold by A. Hawley, in Philadelphia.
