White's Hair Regenerator
In the 1853 Ohio State Directory, I found a trade card for "White's Hair Regenerator, or Amber Gloss." It was being sold by William White, S.E. Corner of 12th & Pine in Philadelphia. William White was a Druggist at that address from 1849 until 1853. After that his business moved almost every year; to Market Street in 54, South 9th in 56, and then to Lombard Street in 1859. In 2005 Chris Vincent listed this bottle for sale on eBay. The pictures here were scanned by Chris. According to the him, the label says: "Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1852."
