| Don C. Smith, of Los Angeles, registered this brand name as a trademark in 1890. He claimed to have been selling it since 1889. The label shown here was included with the trademark petition. The pictures on it are before and after pictures of Prof. Smith. He said the product "Will positively produce hair on bald heads of all ages." Smith also made a special point of the fact that he was wearing a badge from the "Grand Army of the Republic." |
