This was originally produced by Alfred Savage & Co. By the time my bottle was made it was being sold by Lamplough & Campbell, of Montreal.
The preparation was listed in A. I. Mathews Hints (1856). At that time it was still being sold by Alfred Savage. The most fantastic thing about this one is that it is not genuine unless the label is made of birch bark. It's really cool! The preparation is a bear's grease from the Canada Black Bear. My full bottle with a stamped label is just an unbelievable item to possess.
