Retrouvey's Turkish Hair Tonic
Jean Peter Retrouvey was born in 1824 in France. He and his wife Christine immigrated to the United States sometime before 1860. Jean Peter was a cabinet maker, as was his son Eugene. They also did upholstery for a few years. Christine Retrouvey was listed with an occupation of Dress Maker for a few years. I am not sure that these Retrouvey's were the ones involved with the Hair Tonic or not, but they were the only Retrouvey's in Philadelphia around that time.

James Palmer was a Wholesale Druggist from 1863 through 1870. His business was located at 439 Market Street. I've seen advertisements for this product in 1865 and 1866.

See Turkish Hair Tonic article for other Proprietors of the product name.
