 Arthur Nattans was a Druggist in Washington, DC, from 1868 until around 1902. His first Drug Store was at 130 D. Street N.W. He added a second location at 833 14th Street N.W. in 1878, then by 1893, he added a third location at 438 7th Street N.W. His son Arthur Jr. (also listed as Samuel A.) was a clerk in one of the stores from 1893 until around 1898.Nattans registered the words "Crystal Discovery" as a trademark (as shown) in 1895. The picture portion of the Trade Mark is a representation of before and after using this article. Nattans claimed to have been using the brand name since 1874. I have found advertisements for the product from 1872 until 1895. This bottle is from my own collection (enter gallery).
