Morgan's Eureka Hair Restorer
William E. Morgan, of Springfield, Ohio, registered this label in 1887. The product was called "Eureka Hair Restorer," but for some reason, he had to request that the label be altered to just say "Hair Restorer." Most likely, he couldn't secure the registration because of another product with the same name. Anyway, the label that was finally registered had the top portion cut off, where it originally said the word "Eureka." Morgan's Office was located at 34 W. Washington Street, and the product was manufactured at Champion Paints, 32 North Market Street. The following text was also part of the registered label:
TESTIMONIALS
Springfield, O., Oct. 23, '86.
This is to certify that my hair had nearly disappeared from my head, and I was bald on the crown. I was recommended to use Dr William E. Morgan's Eureka Hair Restorer. It does its work effectually in producing a fine, luxuriant growth of hair. I cheerfully recommend it to the public and it is not a humbug to deceive.
Wm. P. Smallwood.
