John Lauck was a Barber in New York from 1844 until at least 1889. His business addresses included: 413 Greenwich (44), 13 Bridge (50), 133 Bowery (59-61), 54 Gt. Jones (69-71), and 279 6th Ave (1889). He called himself a "Hair Dyer" in 1858, and the business was called "Hair Dye" in 1869-71. The 1858 New York State Directory listed John Lauck as the Proprietor of the Dye, with an address of 5 Roosevelt Street, New York.
