The Fountain of Youth Company, of Trenton, NJ, registered a picture (shown) as their Trade Mark for a Hair Renewer in 1903. They claimed to have been using the Trade Mark since late 1901. The picture was supposed to be the biblical character Ruth. In 1903, Frank Millner was the President of the company. An ad in 1913 said the following:
FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH. The only positive restorer for gray or faded hair on the market to-day. Backed by fifteen years of successful use by the leading hairdressers of the country. Write for our special introductory offer.
