C. E. Fougera, of Brooklyn, N.Y. registered a label in 1883 for "Crisoline Blonde Hair Wash." The label title called the product "Crisoline Blonde Hair Wash," but in the wording on the label said it was called "Fougera's Crisoline." Fougera's label also indicated that there were two sizes of the bottle.
Another "Crisoline" product was being sold about the same time by Charles Marchand.
