William E. Jervey, of New York City, first registered Trade Marks for this brand name as a hair preparation in 1878 (6,585 and 6,666). The trademark petition included the picture shown to the right. Jervey had apparently just started to use the brand name in 1878. According to Fike the preparation was still being sold at least as late as 1910. Bottle description courtesy of Fike.
