Falke's Kah-Kan-Kee
Julius Falke was in business in St. Louis at least as early as 1880. Business addresses included 418 Elm Street and 505 Walnut Street. He sold hair products, complexion powder, tooth powder, and stick pomatum. The hair restorative was originally called Kah-Kan-Kee, which may have been and Indian word. Ads in 1880 called the product J. Falke's Kah-Kan-Kee Hair Restorative. In 1889 the name and packaging was changed to J. Falke's 3 K-K-K Hair Restorative, and the company was called the Falke-Snyder Manufacturing Co.
