Chinese Extract of Silk For The Hair
Henry H. Burrington was a Druggist in Providence, Rhode Island from 1844 to 1885. His initial address was at 57 High Street, then, in 1850 he added a store at 45 N. Main. The actual street numbers fluctuated, probably due to re-numbering. He was a Registered Pharmacist in his last year. He died around 1884 or 5, because Eliza M. Burrington was listed in 1885 as his widow.

Charles B. Burrington (probably Henry's son) joined the business in 1850, running the High Street address. After Henry's death, the business was probably sold. Charles was not listed in Business Directories after 1886.

Burrington's ads in the Rhode Island Directory from 1872 to 1876, listed the "Chinese Extract of Silk for the Hair" as one of his products. The bottle description for the #1 below was from Follansbee's article. More information about Burrington is available at the Little Rhody Bottle Club.
