Charlie Ross Hair Tonic
According to Follansbee, this preparation was named after Charlie Ross, the first child kidnapped in America (around 1880). The bottle had a bust of Charlie Ross on one side, surrounded by a wreath, and on the other side, a wreath, imbedded in the glass. The bottles were a fancy pumpkinseed shape, and clear. I saw the one described below at a sale, but I'm not sure if it was the Hair Tonic or some other Charlie Ross bottle. It had a mirror on one side. According to the Dealer who had it, there were many products sold with Charlie Ross on them.
