| Seraphin Lachance, of Montreal, Canada, registered this brand name as a trademark for "Hair Wash" in 1894. The label shown was included and, according to the petition, the label would have covered three sides of the rectangular bottle. The word Capilline would have been on both sides. LaChance said he had been using the name since 1891. It was still listed for sale in the 1901 Morrison & Plummer catalog. (See Grossman) |
