Cameron's Kephalia
William R. Cameron was a Brooklyn Wigmaker from 1853 to 1876. His primary address was on Fulton Street. In the 1869 New York City Directory, there was also a business called Cameron & Kennedy Wigs at 329 Broadway. William was listed the same year at 199 Fulton in Brooklyn; I think they were probably the same Cameron.

Cameron's listed occupation varied through the years. They included: Wigmaker (1853-1868), Hair Merchant and Importer (1869-1872), Hairdresser (1875), and Hair Merchant again (1876). Cameron was in partnership with George Deverall from 1869 to 1876. In 1877, they were not listed together, and in 1878, Deverall was listed separately in the same business at 233 Fulton. Cameron's business was eventually taken over by a guy named Metelski (See Metelski's Kephalia).

I found Kephalia listed for sale by a perfumer in 1835 (view). I do not yet know the relationship to Ramsey's Kephalia
