Briggs' Russian Cosmetic
According to Fike, the label on number 1 below said: "The Genuine Brigg's Cosmetic, an application to the hair, to restore the hair or prevent falling out." The label on number 2 below indicated that the preparation was made in Chillicothe, Ohio. The brand was apparently bought by William A. Kinsloe later. Kinsloe was a Perfumer in Philadelphia in 1847. One reference to a labeled only variant had a Zanesville, Ohio address. The two pictures of the light blue labeled variant are courtesy of Jeff & Holly Noordsy.
